The Seben EQ EM10 is a sturdy mount with a comfortable 2-axis motorisation. It is ideally suitable for the visual observation with Newtonian telescopes up to 8inch/203mm (lightweight design), refractor telescopes up to 6inch/150mm as well as Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes and Maksutov telescopes. Its stainless steel tripod is a big advantage in terms of vibration compared to a standard aluminium tripod. Because of its 2-axis motorisation the Seben ED EM10 becomes a very useful tool for use in astrophotography, too. It’s a matter of course that the motor is incorporated into the housing of the mount so it doesn’t effect the outer design. Nonetheless you only have to loosen one screw of its quick release clutch to switch from motor driven use to manual driven use with the supplied hand wheels (if required).
